Presentation Designs

Workshop: The 90-minute workshop sessions at DAC 2023 are offered by (one or more) Deaf academic(s). The workshops involve different activities and discussions of a particular topic, which participants actively engage in.

Feedback session: total time 20 minutes. During the feedback sessions at DAC 2023, Deaf academics with a PhD degree will act as discussants giving comments/feedbacks on presentations. The presentations take 10 minutes and are followed by 10 minutes of feedback.

Poster: For the poster sessions at DAC 2023, Deaf researchers will present their research work on DIN A1 poster (Upright format. More Infos about Poster Format: https://formaty.info/en/a1/). The posters will be displayed in a separate room. During the poster sessions, the researchers present their posters, answer questions, and interact with the audience/participants.
For the poster presentation on Thursday or Friday, there is the possibility to present the poster in the form of a 5-minute powerpoint presentation. However, this presentation will take place without questions and discussion.

Panel: For the panel session at DAC 2023, a particular topic is discussed on stage by a group of Deaf experts. The panel sessions will be chaired by a moderator and will last 45 minutes.

Presentation: Total time 30 Minutes. For the individual presentations at DAC 2023, Deaf researchers will present their research projects in 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of discussion, in which the audience can ask follow-up questions on the presentation.
